About Me
Why entrust me to work with you and your dog?
I understand and I care. I am appropriately qualified, have both a wealth of personal and practical knowledge and experience to help you to help your dog lead their best life by working to prevent behavioural problems and to improve or resolve existing behavioural problems.
When our dog struggles, everyday life can quickly feel stressful. I truly understand what that feels like and am here to support you navigate challenges in a non-judgemental way.
I am an Associate Clinical Animal Behaviourist with the APBC. Associate members have demonstrated that they have the appropriate level of Knowledge and Understanding for the professional role of Clinical Animal Behaviourist (CAB). They are now gaining the practical experience necessary to be assessed as a CAB and therefore become a Full member of the APBC. The APBC supports its Associate members undertaking behaviour consultations.
I am vet recommended, professional and have built up a strong reputation over the years. I only use kind, reward based, evidence based proven methods and adhere to a strict code of ethics set out by the APBC, and the ABTC.
Why choose me?
I specialise in supporting Romanian rescue dogs, as well as anxious, fearful, and reactive dogs who may be finding everyday life difficult. Having lived with and supported my own nervous rescue dogs, I understand how overwhelming it can feel when your dog is struggling, especially if they are showing behaviours such as barking, lunging, avoidance, or aggressive responses.
My approach is kind, ethical, and practical. I look at the whole dog, including their emotional wellbeing, physical needs, environment, daily routine, and family life. Behaviour change is not about quick fixes; it is about helping your dog feel safer, building confidence, and developing calmer, more appropriate responses over time.
I use force-free, reward-based methods tailored to your dog’s individual needs. My aim is to improve quality of life for both you and your dog, while taking into account the needs of everyone in the household.
I am a qualified and accredited IMDT trainer and behaviourist, a Kids Around Dogs trainer, and a Romanian Pro Dog Trainer. I offer puppy classes and pet gundog classes in Lanarkshire, as well as behaviour support across Lanarkshire, Ayrshire, and Glasgow, either in person or online via Zoom.
I am committed to ongoing professional development and keeping up to date with current canine behaviour science, so that I can provide thoughtful, compassionate, and evidence-informed support.
If you are living with an anxious, fearful, reactive, or rescue dog and are unsure where to turn, you are not alone. With the right support, understanding, and patience, positive change is possible.

A little more about me
I was brought up with German Shepherd and a very special misunderstood collie Bobby. Some 30 years ago, I began to rescue dogs, mostly collies but also many cross breeds.
I currently have 3 foreign rescues and due to Ralph who passed over the Rainbow Bridge, I began my journey into foreign rescues and then specialised, undertaking the Romanian Dog Pro course. Sharing my life with foreign rescues has been incredibly rewarding and has taught me a great deal about the complex needs of Romanian rescue dogs. Together, we have worked through challenges such as fear, anxiety, and reactivity around other dogs and people. Behaviour modification is not a quick fix, but an ongoing process that requires understanding, patience, and compassion. It’s a journey I can help you travel with confidence.
I also have a working Labrador Betty, which is one of the reasons I run Pet Gun Dog classes, as keeping her mentally enriched is vital. Knowing what your dog was bred to do is a crucial part of helping them to lead a quality life and in preventing behavioural issues.
However, I am qualified and experienced to help you with any breed, from your terrier to your cockapoo.
